Position Title: General Trades Maintenance Worker II
$3,951 per month
Status : Full-time classified 12-month position
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with on call rotation

Summary of Work
Work involves performing duties in a number of trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems operation and maintenance, mechanical systems, etc. within a large physical plant operation. Preference will be given to applicants with substantial experience with HVAC systems and operation and maintenance, and/or electrical repair and maintenance.
Duties and Tasks
- Participate in planning and carrying out significant maintenance projects involving carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air; plumbing; or other maintenance-related tasks within the work area.
- Perform carpentry maintenance, repair, and building works such as installing windows and doors, building partitions repairing minor structural damage, etc.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of energy management systems requiring use of building automation systems and direct digital control hardware and software.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical locks.
- Coordinate work activities or projects within the work unit, may fill in during absence of supervisor.
- Assist with general grounds maintenance activities to include but not limited to mowing, snow removal, general parking lot maintenance, weed control, tree trimming, and painting.
- Other duties as assigned for the maintenance, preventative maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
- Serve in on-call capacity on rotation with other members of the department.
