Border Cafe in Saugus is looking for a qualified Host to join our growing team to meet the demands of our fast past, fully operational, full-service restaurant. Border Cafe is a staple of the restaurant scene and has been recognized for multiple awards and recognition for quality in food and service. We are continuing to grow daily, weekly, and monthly after getting the doors open to our loyal customers. Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent customer services.
• Greet customers and sit guests with menus.
• Answering phone calls
• Taking the wait
• Checking the bathroom
• Knowing sections/table numbers
• Sit in rotation.
• Communicate with all host and managers.
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines

Qualifications for the ideal candidate would include the following traits but not limited:

• Experience as a Restaurant host
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Active listening
• Excellent physical condition
• Customer-centric
• High school diploma: food safety training will be considered a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20 - $23.00 per hour

50% off meal on scheduled work days

Schedule:

• 4-8 hour shifts
• Holidays
• Weekend availability is required

Ability to commute

• Saugus MA Route 1 North: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
