As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Principal Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you are responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. In this role, you will help our customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products or services to the market and building elastic, scalable, and cost‑optimized applications. You will engage with product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets by leveraging AWS services. You will also look for patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across an industry segment or a set of customers to accelerate innovation. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your own body of knowledge and have some fun.

As a core member of the account team, you will drive AWS usage and adoption across a specific customer. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud‑based solutions, including migrating and scaling existing workloads in the cloud. You will shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS and interact, communicate, and partner with other AWS teams such as services, marketing, and professional services, while representing your team to executive management.

We’re looking for someone with technical breadth complemented by depth in accelerated computing, containers, storage, networking, and business aptitude. You should be able to lead in‑depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for engaging with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Work on the most complex customer challenges and opportunities, leading both strategy and team execution.
• Combine informed market insights with emerging technology trends to accelerate innovation across the customer segment.
• Serve as a thought leader externally, influencing customer strategy and internal product roadmaps.
• Provide bar‑raising guidance to the broader Solutions Architecture team and spearhead knowledge sharing through events, white papers, blogs, and workshops.
• Advocate for the customer within AWS, influencing platform evolution and ensuring alignment with long‑term business goals.
