Job Title : Facilities Plumber Technician

Position Summary :

We’re seeking a skilled plumber to support facility operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems for heating, water distribution, and drainage. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes, technical drawings, and hands-on experience with a variety of plumbing tools and systems.

Primary Duties :

• Install and repair piping systems and fixtures for water, heating, and drainage in accordance with building codes and technical specifications.
• Review blueprints and schematics to plan installations and determine necessary tools and materials.
• Inspect work areas to identify structural challenges and avoid compromising building integrity during pipe installation.
• Measure and mark pipe locations and access points using standard tools such as levels, rulers, and plumb bobs.
• Create openings in walls, floors, and ceilings to accommodate plumbing systems using manual and power tools.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes to fit specific layouts using appropriate machinery and techniques.
• Assemble and secure piping systems using various methods including soldering, welding, and mechanical fasteners.
• Conduct pressure tests on systems using air or water to detect leaks and ensure proper function.
• Install and service plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, dishwashers, and softeners.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs such as clearing blockages, fixing leaks, and replacing faulty components.
• Carry out welding or brazing tasks and ensure backflow prevention systems are functioning correctly.
• Support other maintenance tasks as needed and collaborate across trades when required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.54 - $38.54 / hr.
