IT Support Technician
Crexendo is seeking a motivated, performer to work as an IT Department Technician, providing IT customer service remotely and in person. You will utilize a wide variety of technical support and troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware and software issues, working independently and escalating complex issues as appropriate.
Desired candidate is an aspiring IT technical professional who provides superior support to the end-user experience, with modest technical knowledge in areas including : user end support (desktops, laptops, Mobile Phones, printers and software), application support, networking, network printing, audio / video and telephony (VoIP), Active Directory, and Windows Server Operating Systems.
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2+ Years of IT, Help Desk and / or MSP experience
- Competency Certifications are a plus (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)
Required Qualifications and Job Description
A high level of communication skill including written and verbal skills. Verbal skills include the ability to communicate technical I.T. issues to non-I.T. technical staff, Ability to document processesRequire limited supervision and direction; drive results, and set priorities appropriately and independentlyAnswer user inquiries and resolve problems regarding computer software, hardware, telephones and servicesSet up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and softwareMaintain Active Directory and Office 365, including creating computer logins and user accountsAddress requests to add, modify, create, and remove permissionsInstall and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment following design or installation specificationsMaintain records of user and system setup and installationUtilize service desk system to document employee communications and problem / resolutionProvide technical assistance and resolve problems by conferring with users, conducting computer diagnostics, and researching issuesA passion for ITActs in a self-directed manner; takes action before being directed by others or forced by eventsUnderstands time management and responsibility to adhere to schedulesSeizes opportunities and is proactive in avoiding potential problemsThis is a great chance to grow your skills as an IT tech.
