An educational site is seeking a qualified Substitute Paraprofessional to provide flexible classroom and instructional support on an as-needed basis. This role supports students across grade levels and learning needs, providing reinforcement of lessons, monitoring, and assisting teachers during cover periods.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Support instructional activities under teacher guidance during short-term absences of regular paraprofessional staff

Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lesson content in reading, writing, math and other areas

Assist with preparation and organization of instructional materials and classroom workspaces

Monitor student behavior in classroom, transition, lunch / recess or other supervised times and implement positive behavior strategies

Document observations of student performance or behavior and communicate relevant information to the teacher or coordinator

Adapt quickly to different classroom settings, routines and grade levels

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or credential in education or special education preferred

Prior experience supporting students in a classroom, tutoring, instructional or childcare setting strongly preferred

Ability to follow teacher directions, maintain confidentiality, and maintain a professional demeanor

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with students and staff

Flexibility, reliability, and availability to work on short-notice substitute assignments
