Pay Rate : $47 per hour

Contract : 12 / 01 / 2025 - 03 / 03 / 2026

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join a dynamic Labor & Delivery team in Brooklyn, NY. This position is based in a large, high-acuity medical center known for its fast-paced environment and commitment to exceptional patient care. The Surgical Technician will play a key role in assisting physicians and nurses during obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining sterile technique throughout all operations.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and organized.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to requests during operations.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of specimens, instruments, and materials.
• Maintain and track surgical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness and proper inventory.
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a sterile field at all times.
• Support the Labor & Delivery team with pre-, intra-, and post-operative care as needed.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
