The IT Systems Administrator oversees the deployment and maintenance of various computer systems, applications, and servers within the organization. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of the IT infrastructure or set up new networking equipment. Manage user permissions and accounts across Microsoft Suite, providing training for new IT staff as necessary. Handle software updates, patches, and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, offering insight and feedback on IT policies and upgrades. Effectively communicate complex technical information and serve as the primary resource during infrastructure emergencies, utilizing prioritization and escalation skills to ensure timely resolution. Problem-solve through identification, research, and experience, documenting and monitoring issues for statistical analysis and solution development. Interact with various teams and departments, developing procedures and solutions for technical issues and training staff on computer platforms and software components.

Are You Looking to :

  • Maintains Help Desk tracking system; inputs problem description in Help Desk tracking system and assists with maintenance?
  • Works closely with network administration to diagnose and troubleshoot network outages, maintain network configuration for users and their components / cabling, maintain user accounts and reboots servers and routers?
  • Assists staff with the operation of application software, including Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and communication software, web applications and anti-virus?
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings and committees to discuss IT-related issues, and contributes to departmental projects?
  • Works with the global IT Team and external service contractors as needed to research and recommend hardware and software purchases, obtain quotes for repair costs and maintenance, and source product information?
  • Performs European server maintenance during US working hours if necessary?

Are You Ready to :

  • Performs hardware setup and installation of applications for new and existing personnel, server and network systems.
  • Performs network setups, maintenance tasks and changes.
  • Performs general IT support including cellular and office phone systems.
  • Provides technical support for our North American operations for internal end users on a variety of hardware and software problems including operating system support, application support, and network access support.
  • Works with the ticket system and solves end users' problems remotely.
  • Serves as IT contact for the IT hotline to support users.
  • What You’ll Need :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related subject.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role or a combination of knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in imaging, deploying, and maintaining computers with the Windows 10 / 11 operating system
  • Experience with the setup, maintenance and upgrades / replacements of networks, including firewalls, switches, access points, and security cameras.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite including Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Entra, and Intune.
  • Hands-on mentality.
  • Experience working with Jira Service Management / Atlassian and in support environments.
  • Ability to travel multiple times throughout the year, including to both national and international work sites.
  • German Speaking is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS and virtual machines is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, etc. are a plus.
