Ready to bring your skills to Asbury Place Kingsport Senior Living & Memory Care as a Maintenance Technician? To succeed in this fulfilling role, you’ll need a solid foundation in basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills. Effective communication in English is crucial, as you'll engage with residents, families, and staff. A positive attitude when dealing with various people is essential—we want someone who can navigate interpersonal situations with tact! You'll be on your feet a lot, so physical stamina is a must, including the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and navigate tight spaces.

Decision-making skills will come into play, especially during emergencies when you may need to assist in evacuations. A valid driver's license is required to operate company vehicles, and familiarity with safety protocols will help you navigate the occasional exposure to challenging conditions. If you have a can-do spirit and teamwork mentality, we want you on our dynamic team!

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position, including possible frequent interruptions during the workday.
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment necessary for position.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to maintain a rapport with the residents and their families.
• Must maintain knowledge of all departmental policies and procedures.

• Must be able to work on your feet throughout the workday, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds frequently without assistance, climb ladders, crawl, and work in cramped work areas regularly.

• Must have demonstrative knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift objects on a consistent basis.
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
• Must be able to cooperate and work effectively with other staff members.
