Job Overview :
Lyon Metal Roofing is seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Piney Flats, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of roofing materials and metal panels to residential and commercial customers. You will also assist in the warehouse, becoming proficient with our products and services in order to accurately pull and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery. This dual role is essential in providing excellent customer service and maintaining our reputation for dependable, high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely load, secure, and transport metal roofing materials to customer sites.
- Operate company vehicles, including flatbed trucks, in compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet customer schedules.
- Inspect delivery vehicles before and after each trip to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Assist customers with unloading materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Communicate with the dispatch team regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Follow safety protocols when handling materials and driving.
- Support warehouse operations by pulling, staging, and preparing customer orders for pickup and delivery.
- Develop proficiency with Lyon Metal Roofing products and services to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Assist with maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and inventory accuracy.
