Position Title: Nurse Manager of ER

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Shift: Full-Time, Days

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $95,000 – $142,500 (based on experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Position Overview:

A full-service hospital in Fort Worth is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead operations within its busy Emergency Department. The facility is a designated comprehensive stroke and chest pain center, with emergency services provided across the main hospital campus and two off-site ER locations.

Leadership Structure:

• Reports to the Admin Director of Emergency Services
• Indirect reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer
• Oversees ER nursing operations and collaborates with leadership and staff across the main and satellite ER locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily clinical and operational functions of the Emergency Department
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care
• Manage budgets, staffing, scheduling, and performance development
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Champion staff development, engagement, and retention initiatives

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent ER leadership experience in an acute care setting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS or ENPC required within 1 year of hire
• National certification (e.g., CEN) preferred

Emergency Department Snapshot:

• Volume: 150–190 visits per day
• Staff: Approx. 115 FTEs
• Leadership: 2 ER Managers (day and night), 4 Clinical Nurse Coordinators
• Includes oversight of two affiliated off-site emergency locations
