Quality Technician - Fridley, Minnesota

Day Shift position (6 : 00am / 7 : 00am start time - approximate (8) hour shift)

Pay Rate - up to $22.00 / hr. based on proven work history

Description of the Quality Technician :

The Quality Technician ensures that products received or produced meet technical specifications and quality standards. The role involves verifying product quality using advanced measurement techniques and tools, supporting quality assurance processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position operates under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician :

  • Verify the final quality of products on the production line using dimensional and visual inspection techniques
  • Compare physical characteristics of components, materials, and products to technical specifications to identify defects
  • Segregate non-conforming products using basic and complex measurement equipment (e.g. Faro arm, gauges)
  • Prepare dimensional reports for parts received under source release or PPAP
  • Conduct layout inspections, product audits, and process audits
  • Support gauge calibration and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Document non-conforming product using specified systems and tools
  • Train team members on measurement equipment usage and quality documentation
  • Follow company-defined quality norms and standards
  • Prioritize work effectively and demonstrate flexibility to support business needs

Quailfications of the Quality Technician :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
  • Additional training or certification in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or related field is a plus
  • Understanding of how hand tools, power tools, and multi-meters work
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.
  • Must be able to up to 35-40 pounds repeatedly
  • Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook and Excel)
  • Prior rework experience preferred (stripping, crimping, modifications of electronics / harnesses & control boxes)
  • Must be able to pass Hoist / Crane certification
  • Ability to travel to other sites (within local area) as the need arises
