Behavior Technician (ABA Therapy)

Location : Chantilly, VA

Setting : In-school

Compensation : $25 to $30 per hour

Job Summary :

Flywheel Centers is hiring a Behavior Technician to support a school-based afternoon case in Chantilly, VA. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about helping children with autism thrive in structured educational environments. While similar in nature to in-home roles, school-based positions present unique opportunities to collaborate with educators and help students build functional, social, and communication skills within a classroom context.

Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The focus is on helping the student access learning, build independence, and reduce behaviors that interfere with their ability to participate fully in the school day.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver direct 1 : 1 ABA therapy in a school setting

Follow behavior intervention plans developed by a supervising BCBA

Collaborate with school staff and communicate professionally with all team members

Collect accurate data and session notes using electronic systems

Support the child in skill development across communication, social behavior, self-help, and emotional regulation

Maintain professionalism and follow all school policies while representing Flywheel Centers

Position Highlights :

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be at least 18 years old

Prior experience working with children is required

Previous ABA experience preferred but not required

Ability to remain calm, consistent, and organized in dynamic school environments

Must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Chantilly, VA
