Job Goal
The BCBA will support district-wide efforts in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior-analytic services. This role focuses on providing direct support to students, families, and schools in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral health needs. The BCBA will assess the relationship between behavior and the environment, identify strategies for meaningful behavior change, and support the implementation of effective interventions that promote student success.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Human Services, Human Development, or a related field (required)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (required)
Certification to oversee Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) preferred
Knowledge of and / or experience with :
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Culturally Responsive Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (CR-PBIS)
Restorative Justice Practices
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and developing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Experience working with individuals with moderate to severe behavioral, conduct, and / or social-emotional needs
Experience coaching educators, school teams, and / or support staff in implementing behavioral interventions
Essential Functions
The BCBA is responsible for implementing behavioral support strategies and skill acquisition programs aligned with best practices in behavioral science. Key responsibilities include :
Consult with school-based teams (Problem-Solving Teams, IEP Teams) to develop intervention strategies, including completion of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans
Provide direct training and consultation to parents, supporting the use of behavioral strategies in home and community settings
Oversee Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) programs and provide guidance for paraprofessionals
Deliver professional development for staff on MTSS, CR-PBIS, data collection / analysis, and related behavioral support topics
Collaborate with district / school leadership to strengthen positive behavioral support systems
Perform other related duties as assigned
