AECOM is actively seeking a Deputy Project Manager / Project Manager in Training located in our Denver, CO office for employment in our U.S. West Digital Consulting group. This client-facing role is designed to grow into a full Project Manager capacity, strengthening leadership bandwidth on large multi-site programs. Coordinates multidisciplinary teams delivering FCAs, ADA assessments, energy audits, and lifecycle costing. The strategic value of this role expands internal PM bench strength and supports succession planning for high-profile client programs.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

  • Provides solutions to client business challenges and improves performance through the analysis of existing organizational problems and development of plans for improvement.
  • Performs analyses and develops client deliverables appropriate to the specific consulting engagement. May facilitate implementation of business recommendations in one or more of the following areas : capital investment planning, asset management, strategic planning, financial planning, operational efficiency, change management, economic analysis, real estate development, information technology, and / or project cost consulting.
  • Provides solutions to client challenges developed from a foundation of understanding or analysis of client business practices and goals.
  • Develops work plans and task definitions, participates in data collection, and helps to develop solutions to client problems with a focus on financial analysis and capital investment.
  • Leads and mentors team of consultants and / or other staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA / BS and 8+ years of experience in facility condition assessment, capital planning, or asset management; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education
  • PE license required-any state
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal contract / security requirements.
  • Ability to travel to project locations including driving, flying, and overnight stays. Travel is expected to be 2 weeks per calendar month on average.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • BUILDER familiarity preferred
  • Demonstrated technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience with K-12 clientele, higher education, Federal Government, State and local government, or similar is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Self-Starter : Demonstrates a high level of initiative and motivation, able to take ownership of tasks and projects independently, while consistently delivering exceptional results.
  • Team Player : Collaborative by nature, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to actively contribute to team goals and objectives.
  • Proactive : Exhibits a forward-thinking mindset, anticipating needs and challenges, and taking proactive steps to address them efficiently.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and background checks to work on Federal grounds, military installations, and school grounds.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal contract / security requirements.
  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $113500 to $135000.
