Med / Surg LPN Job Details

Location : El Paso, TX 79902 (Texas healthcare job)

Facility : Rehabilitation Hospital, 31-bed Med / Surg unit

Assignment Type : Travel LPN contract

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025 – End : 1 / 12 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour days (06 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 4 weekends per schedule

On-Site Position

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1050 - $1120

Med / Surg LPN Qualifications

Active LPN / LVN license (Texas or compact state preferred)

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Med / Surg or rehabilitation nursing setting

Experience with CareTools and Meditech EMR systems preferred

Rehabilitation, patient transfer, and wound care experience highly desirable

Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to wear galaxy blue or royal blue scrubs (other colors permitted on Fridays only)

LPN Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a 31-bed rehabilitation Med / Surg unit

Perform wound care, incision dressings, Foley catheter placement, blood transfusions, and respiratory therapy (trach suction and breathing treatments)

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team—including nurses and therapists—to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech and CareTools EMR systems

Adhere to unit policies, including punctual shift start times and required lunch breaks

Promote a positive, organized, and team-oriented work environment
