Salary :
We are seeking a FULL-TIME PHARMACIST IN CHARGE to become a part of our team! You will oversee pharmacy components of the primary medical care site (SHH - Greenspoint Health Center) by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the pharmacy.
Responsibilities :
- Oversees and manage the daily pharmacy operations, according to rules and regulations
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations governing the operation of their respective pharmacy.
- Provide functional supervision of support staff, encompassing :
Daily tasks for technicians
Communicating the daily action plan with on-site personnel.Maintains records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulationsEnsures legal operation of the pharmacy, including meeting all inspection and other requirements of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy operations.Provide medication counseling to patients, addressing their questions and concerns, and promoting medication adherence.Knowledge of drugs, drugs dosing, side effects, indications, contraindications and proper administration.Counseling heath care providers or patients regarding drug interactions, indications, drug dosage and side effects.Providing information or knowledge on other drugs or pharmaceuticals as appropriate.Managing the acquisition and disbursal of medicines and drugs to various clinics,Establishing and maintaining methods and style of storage and record maintaining systems for providing safekeeping of medicines or pharmaceuticals.Following established departmental rules, procedures, policies, quality-improving objectives, environmental, safety or infection controlling standards.Knowledgeable regarding HIV standards of care and complies with all standards of care for treatment of HIV / AIDS established by the National Institute of Health.Conduct and review results of periodic audits and address any deficiencies; and participate and encourage education of staff.Adhere to protocols concerning pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and ensuring proper storage of medications and supplies.Oversee the quality and accuracy of prescription dispensing and other pharmaceutical services provided by the pharmacy staff.Motivate and develop support staff by balancing assignments that maximize their strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps.Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.Adapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting.Performing miscellaneous job-related task as assignedQualifications :
Pharmacy Degree from an Accredited University or College.License Requirement : Licensed Pharmacist in the State of TexasPharmacy Experience At least 1 year of specialty pharmacy experienceComputer proficient, excellent written and verbal skills.Work with frequent interruptions.Maintain emotional control under stress.Detailed oriented and organized.Great interpersonal and communication skillsBilingual (English / Spanish), a plusAbility to provide coverage at other clinic pharmacy sites.Flexibility to work up to two Saturdays a monthWorking Conditions
The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight, may be requiredWilling to travel to Conroe pharmacy center once a month and as needed for coverage.
