HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a travel job in Pocatello, Idaho.
Job Description & Requirements
Title : Radiation Therapist
Location : Pocatello, ID
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day Shift, 5x8-hour (08 : 00 – 17 : 00); hours may fluctuate between 8–9 hours Monday–Thursday and 4–5 hours on Fridays
Job Responsibilities :
Administer ionizing radiation to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist or physicist.
Create external beam treatment plans using a treatment planning computer (e.g., Pinnacle or Eclipse).
Ensure accurate treatment delivery and documentation within electronic medical records.
Educate patients on procedures, side effects, and radiation safety measures.
Maintain strict radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and visitors.
Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
Experience : Minimum 1 year as a Radiation Therapist
Certifications : ARRT (T) and BLS
Charting System : Any electronic system experience acceptable
Technical Skills :
External Beam Therapy
IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
Tumor localization, custom molds / shields, beam modifying / positioning
Portal imaging, CBCT / kV / mV imaging, compensation filters, wedges
Dose calculation and treatment planning using Pinnacle (Philips) or Eclipse (Varian) systems
Professional Skills :
Radiation safety practices
Infection and isolation precautions
Use of rapid response / code teams
Patient lifting and transfer techniques
Preferred Qualifications and Skills : \nPrevious charge experience\nExperience with Elekta Infinity Accelerator and MOSAIQ record and verify system\nExperience in adult acute care and pretreatment settings\n\nAdditional Details : \nPatient populations : Adolescents, adults, geriatrics\n
