Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to support in the assembly and testing of advanced engine and transmission systems. The role involves reviewing, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting new equipment launches, and ensuring production readiness. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on assembly experience, and collaboration with plant teams, suppliers, and OEMs to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and validate assembly and test machines for the 28MY and 29M CEP Cyclone programs.
Conduct machine reviews for GEMBA and CAFM items.
Support plant installation and launch of new equipment at CEP.
Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers for tryouts, machine capability confirmations, and run-offs.
Collect and provide shipping paperwork for assembly and test equipment to PTME for PAR documentation.
Support development of all quality documentation to ensure launch readiness.
Maintain and manage open issues lists for assigned machines.
Monitor master timing charts, identifying corrective actions and recovery plans as needed.
Ensure workstation readiness at program milestones, coordinating trades, materials, AutoCAD layouts, drawings, assembly aids, and error-proofing.
Support production trial runs and daily rate-of-climb whiteboard meetings.
Implement cycle time reduction and process rebalancing actions as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer
Industry experience in automotive or automation (preferred)
Hands-on experience with engines, transmissions, or assembly
Experience with assembly automation, conveyors, and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with plant teams and trades
