As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will play a key role in supporting campus security-related operations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring communications, coordinating responses, and assisting with routine patrol coordination to help deter incidents and maintain a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. You will be a visible point of contact, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in a dynamic learning environment.

Position Type : Flex Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule : DayTimeSun02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Operate communication systems to receive and dispatch calls for service within the educational location.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarm panels to promptly report and document any security-related incidents or unusual activity.
  • Serve as a central communication point for security-related concerns, relaying information to security personnel and / or emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating the response of Allied Universal team members to incidents within the facility.
  • Maintain detailed logs of all calls, security-related incidents, and actions taken during each shift.
  • Provide customer service by assisting students, staff, and visitors with inquiries and security-related needs.
  • Support the implementation of site-specific security-related policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
