We are looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation, service, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems for commercial projects. This position requires hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, knowledge of fire safety codes, and a strong commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and reliable systems.
Install, configure, and service fire alarm devices such as panels, detectors, pull stations, speakers, and related components.
Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT3–CAT6a, fiber, coax, etc.).
Conduct inspections, testing, and system verification to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Diagnose and repair wiring issues, device malfunctions, and loop terminations (including SCC and dull wire).
Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Accurately record test results, inspections, and service work performed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure job sites remain clean and organized.
Operate trade-specific equipment and support field operations as needed.
Provide clear communication to management, clients, and team members regarding system status, required repairs, and safety measures.
Collaborate with project teams to improve processes, maintain project efficiency, and uphold safety standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
2–7+ years of experience with fire alarm systems, low-voltage, or electrical work (commercial projects preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent required; participation in an apprenticeship program a plus.
NICET certification strongly preferred (Level I or II minimum; Level III ideal depending on experience).
Valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License preferred, and required for senior-level roles.
Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, panels, and control devices, with the ability to troubleshoot and work independently.
Proven leadership skills with the capability to mentor or supervise junior technicians as experience grows.
Effective communication, teamwork, and initiative in improving project quality and workflows.
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including dusty, noisy, or hazardous conditions.
May be required to work in high areas, tight spaces, confined locations, or adverse weather conditions.
Frequent climbing, kneeling, squatting, and balancing.
Must be capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of trade-specific materials, tools, and safety practices required.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
