In 2014, U.S. News released Hospital Data Insights (HDI) a performance assessment and peer benchmarking solution that enables Chief Quality Officers and care delivery teams at health systems to benchmark their hospital\'s performance and improve clinical quality through a much deeper analysis of the data underpinning the Best Hospitals rankings and ratings. HDI allows health systems to analyze the metrics within each year’s methodology for quality improvement, strategic planning, and competitive analysis.

Responsibilities

Your role in helping us shape the future :

  • S. News empowers everyone to thrive. In this position you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to develop and implement a data-driven commercial strategy that will enable the HDI team to meet and exceed sales and revenue goals. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales and go-to-market strategy where you’ll understand customer needs and create and implement commercial plans to achieve it. Partnering closely with cross-functional partners to inform and elevate HDI’s brand and product in key markets.

The ideal candidate will excel at building a collaborative sales culture that fosters success and drives growth. You will expect excellence and professionalism from your team in performance of their functions with the highest levels of integrity.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a national sales strategy that is aligned with the company\'s overall business objectives.
  • Set ambitious sales targets and ensure their achievement through effective planning and execution.
  • Lead the Go-To-Market strategy and help drive the tactical marketing plans.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
  • Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a distributed team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the sales team, regularly reviewing and providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence within the sales organization.
  • Sales Operations

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure the optimization of sales processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and technology, to ensure alignment and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales, pipeline, and revenue targets leveraging the CRM solution.
  • Customer Focus

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional customer experiences, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Leverage customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve product offerings.
  • Position requirements

    You should definitely have :

  • Minimum of ten years of similar or related experience in sales leadership roles in B2B subscription sales. Demonstrated track record of being able to hit and exceed sales and revenue goals inclusive of at least five years in the healthcare industry.
  • Established relationships with key hospital and health system executives.
  • Bachelor\'s degree required in a related field.
  • A track record of driving new business and developing new partnerships within the healthcare market.
  • Experience working in a growth environment developing sales pipelines and managing sales cycles to ensure successful deal closures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively convey ideas to clients and close deals.
  • Results-oriented mindset with self-motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Nice to have

  • Experience in a start-up healthcare software environment leading new business partnerships.
  • Strong relationships with health system and hospital executives including chief medical and quality officers and marketing leaders.
  • A Masters in business, healthcare management or public health.

  • U.S. News & World Report strongly encourages all employees to be fully vaccinated (including boosters).

  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000 to $170,000. This position is commission eligible. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.
