Licensing Manager
The selected candidate will be offered a salary between $105,000.00-$115,000.00. The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services, and provides subsidized child care vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment. In juvenile justice, ACS oversees detention, placement and programs for youth in the community. The New York City Administration for Children's Services of Office of Information Technology (OIT) department has the responsibility to provide high quality, reliable, sustainable technology services, and support to meet the needs of the families and children we serve through ACS and its vendor partners and other city agencies. The Deputy Chief Information Office (DCIO) oversees and manages OIT's capital, expense, and personnel services budget. The office is responsible for maintaining technology, IT staff, and infrastructure. This unit works closely with the Division of Finance, Office of the Agency's Chief Contracting Officer, and the Office of Administrative services as it relates to the contracting and procurement of goods and services. This office also works closely with agencies like OMB, OTI, MOCS, DCAS, and Comptroller's Office. The DCIO unit comprises of Budget and Procurement, Mobile Technologies, Contract Management, Asset Management, Strategic Planning and OIT Personnel. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Licensing Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the Agency is always compliant with licenses and software usage. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, management, and compliance of software licenses and technology assets for the agency. This role will ensure that the agency maintains proper licensing agreements, optimizes software costs, and brings in efficiencies and cost savings by constantly monitoring the usage and right sizing the licensing footprint. The individual will also draft RFI, RFP, RFQ, capital purchase requests, analyze technology proposals, liaise with vendors, and provide expert recommendations on technology acquisitions.
