Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design of Edge AI products including automotive‑grade Edge AI computers and cameras.
- Champion cross‑functional collaboration with mechanical, test, regulatory, manufacturing and installation teams throughout the design cycle from concept to launch.
- Develop product specifications, design circuits, conduct reviews and continuously improve design.
- Generate working prototypes for proof of concept and customer demonstrations.
- Lead hands‑on involvement in building, debugging, and maintaining product builds.
- Develop test plans, execute testing and guide validation of new designs.
- Own the electrical design part of Edge AI system projects, focus on performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure project deliverables stay on track and within budget.
- Partner with vendors and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture electronic parts, modules and products.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to obtain product certification for compliance.
- Lead and mentor electrical engineering team members, providing technical guidance, fostering development, and ensuring high‑quality execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.10+ years of experience in the field, with at least 4 years of management experience leading design and test engineers.Expertise in cross‑functional collaboration and influencing decision‑making.Strong communication skills for conveying expectations and reviewing team contributions.Experience building perception hardware such as computers and cameras for vehicles.Track record of delivering hardware products from concept to production on time and budget.Deep understanding of automotive product development and specifications.Expertise in circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, system validation testing.Proficiency with design and simulation tools (Orcad, Spice, Allegro, Altium).Hands‑on experience with hardware lab equipment (high‑speed oscilloscope, VNA, logic analyzer).Experience with high‑speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, HDMI / DP, UART, GMSL, LVDS, MIPI, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, CAN).Knowledge of imaging components and camera system design.Experience with GPS, 4G / LTE, 5G, Wi‑Fi, BLE, IoT devices, RF antenna design.Understanding of regulatory testing and compliance for Americas and EU.Experience with ESD, EMI, UL, SAE, automotive standards compliance testing.Interest in improving development processes, documentation and team collaboration.Leadership and teamwork skills to guide a multidisciplinary engineering team.Hands‑on approach to building and refining hardware products.Practical understanding of electromechanical systems and CAD development.Requirement : on‑site presence in San Francisco office 3‑5 days per week.Location : San Francisco, CA
