A school district invites applications for a Substitute Paraprofessional who will support teaching staff and students across grade levels. The role demands flexibility, strong student support skills, and completion of the state fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities :

Implement teacher-prepared activities and provide support to students experiencing difficulty with content or classroom routines.

Supervise classroom activities, assist with transitions, and monitor student behavior and progress.

Work collaboratively with teachers, special educators, and staff to adjust support as required.

Ensure accurate documentation of student support activities and follow up on student needs and behavior.

Adhere to school policies, confidentiality requirements, and promote a positive learning environment.

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in education or child development is beneficial.

Experience working with students in educational or similar settings is preferred.

Must complete required state fingerprinting and pass the background check.

Excellent communicator, patient, adaptable to varying classroom settings and student needs.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, remain calm under pressure, and function effectively in dynamic school environments.

Hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered on an as-needed basis according to school needs.
