Primary Care Physician - Oxford, NC
Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team in Oxford, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions while promoting overall wellness within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care :
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
- Provide preventive care, including screenings, vaccinations, and health education
- Manage common illnesses and injuries; coordinate care for complex cases
- Deliver care across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Community Engagement :
Foster strong relationships with patients and families by addressing their unique needsParticipate in community health initiatives and educational programsBuild trust within the community and advocate for patient healthcare needsCollaboration & Coordination :
Work collaboratively with specialists, nurses, and support staffCoordinate patient referrals and follow-up careUtilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend careAdministrative Duties :
Maintain accurate and compliant patient recordsManage scheduling, billing, and other administrative responsibilities as neededContribute to quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practice guidelinesEmergency Care :
Provide urgent care for a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural settingRespond quickly and effectively to patient needs in emergent situationsProfessional Development :
Stay current with medical advancements and continuing education requirementsParticipate in professional organizations and relevant conferenceQualifications :
Education : MD or DO from an accredited medical schoolLicensure : Active NC medical license (or eligibility)Board Certification : Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty (board certified or board eligible)Experience : Prior experience in rural or underserved settings preferred, but not requiredSkills :Strong diagnostic and clinical abilities
