Job descriptionFoster strong relationships with patients and families by addressing their unique needs Participate in community health initiatives and educational programs Build trust within the community and advocate for patient healthcare needs Work collaboratively with specialists, nurses, and support staff Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care Utilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend care Maintain accurate and compliant patient records Manage scheduling, billing, and other administrative responsibilities as needed Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practice guidelines Provide urgent care for a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural setting Respond quickly and effectively to patient needs in emergent situations Stay current with medical advancements and continuing education requirements Participate in professional organizations and relevant conference Education : MD or DO from an accredited medical school Licensure : Active NC medical license (or eligibility) Board Certification : Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty (board certified or board eligible) Experience : Prior experience in rural or underserved settings preferred, but not required Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) Setting : Clinic environment Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Physical Requirements : Ability to perform medical procedures and assist patients with mobility as needed Competitive salary and benefits package Malpractice insurance coverage CME allowance Opportunities for professional growth and community involvement
