The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Supervise and manage all functions involved in the production of 3M products in a safe and economic fashion. Responsible for overseeing the direct supervision, training, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, employee morale and productivity for assigned areas in the plant.

Leading world class safety culture into daily operations.
Organizing and managing all necessary resources required to improve safety, lower cost, improve quality, and increase customer service.
Providing direct supervision to professional and support levels including setting objectives, performance and motivation management and training.
Developing or directing development and approving standard operating, quality and administrative procedures and policies for manufacturing and related operations. Overseeing the implementation and administration of all company policies.
Directing and facilitating Continuous Improvement teams both within and outside of the operations organization to improve customer satisfaction and reduce total costs.
Clearly communicating to all employees the expectations and results of the facility.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :
High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND a minimum of ten (10) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :
Three (3) years of manufacturing supervision experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Bachelor's degree or higher in science, business or engineering discipline from an accredited university
Experience leading cross functional teams.
Self-directed and detail oriented
Ability to create, lead and work in a team atmosphere.
Ability to drive and influence positive change
Work location : Aberdeen, SD. This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work in the plant. Travel : May include up to 10% domestic. Relocation : May be authorized.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

The expected compensation range for this position is $122,292 - $149,468, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and / or experience.
