Job Summary

Paints University buildings, areas, equipment, and furniture with hand brushes, rollers, and sprayers to include mixing, blending, and matching of paints and stains.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Paints University buildings, areas, equipment, and furniture with hand brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Mixes, blends, and matches paint and stains to proper color and consistency.
• Determines sequences of paint operations and methods utilized; provides advise for scaffolding, rigging, color blending, equipment recommendations, materials needed, and areas to be painted according to work orders.
• Estimates time and cost for painting jobs.
• Finishes sheetrock, plaster and lathe, walls and ceilings in preparation for painting.
• Performs such typical operations as applying decorative and / or protective finish coats to mill-work.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and one year related experience and / or training. Valid driver's License.
