Radiology Cardiology CT Tech

Job Summary :

The CT Technician will perform computed tomography (CT) scans on patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics in a busy outpatient and emergency department setting. The role involves operating Siemens equipment ensuring patient safety and collaborating with the healthcare team. The technician must be able to work independently and cover weekend shifts if needed.

Responsibilities :

• Perform CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck spine and musculoskeletal system with and without contrast.
• Prepare and administer contrast media.
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture.
• Ensure radiation safety and follow isolation precautions.
• Assist with special procedures such as aspirations biopsies drainages and myelography.
• Perform 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP).
• Document patient care and related duties in EPIC.
• Answer unit phone and direct calls accordingly.
• Coordinate equipment / supply needs and report malfunctions.
• Assist in emergency situations.
