Description

To support customers with Amada Press Brakes in the Richmond, VA territory. This includes installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and bending automation training. The duties also include performing similar functions for Punch Press, Shears, and other general fabricating machines, including automated material loading / unloading machines.

Job Details

Support customers with Amada Press Brakes and other fabricating equipment in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities include installation, service, training, networking, programming, and automation support.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations and follow-through.
  • Manage equipment installation, including use of hand tools and physical activity.
  • Provide operation, applications, software, and part programming training.
  • Use Amada software for line control and programming.
  • Travel regularly within assigned territories.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

Non-essential Functions

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.

  • Reports to Regional Service Manager.

    • Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree in Electronics or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
  • Use of hand tools, Volt / Ohm meter, Oscilloscope.
  • Knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Accountability in customer support.

    • Travel

  • Routine travel within territories, occasional overnight stays.
  • Territory : Richmond, VA and surrounding areas.

    • Pay Rate

    $30.00 - $33.00 per hour.
