SAP Finance Technical Lead

Location: Chicago, IL

We are seeking a Senior SAP Finance Technical Lead with deep accounting expertise and proven experience leading migrations from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. This role requires strong executive-facing communication skills, especially with CFOs and Controllers, and a hands-on ability to architect end-to-end financial process transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead finance transformation initiatives across SAP S/4HANA, including process design, architecture, and cutover.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior finance stakeholders; translate business goals into functional SAP solutions.
• Design a framework for integrating financial data across Asset Accounting, Profitability Analysis, and Inventory Valuation modules, utilizing the Universal Journal’s centralized architecture.
• Drive data migration, reconciliation, and audit readiness activities for financial data.
• Facilitate cross-functional integration across FI/CO, MM, SD, and other modules.
• Provide governance, mentorship, and issue resolution across business and IT teams.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of SAP Finance experience, including multiple full-lifecycle ECC to S/4HANA conversions.
• Practical proficiency in implementing and leveraging SAP’s centralized financial reporting framework, asset lifecycle management, profitability insights, inventory valuation, and user-centric analytics through Fiori apps.
• Experience supporting financial compliance, tax, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, especially working with executive leadership.
• Working knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related technical field.
