Job Description

Utilize the nursing process for administering care of both well patients and those with health problems in an outpatient setting.
Perform phlebotomy, EKG, holter monitors, pulmonary function testing, and IVs; administer routine immunizations, therapeutic injections and skin tests as assigned by medical provider
Execute medical orders for specific drugs, treatments, tests, nursing or other procedures within the framework of Hospital policy and government regulations and laws
Assist and / or prepare patients for surgical procedures, tests, treatments and other diagnostic or therapeutic procedures

Required :

Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program

Maintain competency in professional nursing practices

Current license and registration to practice Practical Nursing in New York State

Assumes responsibility for maintaining current knowledge related to the age and development of the patient population in areas in which they work
