Job Summary and

Qualifications

You will coordinate day to day clinical operations of the Emergency

Department regarding patient care, resource management, staffing,

supplies & equipment.

You will help

maintain personnel files related to orientation, competency,

disciplinary actions and attendance.

You will

coordinate staffing schedules and perform evaluations in

conjunction with Director of ED or AVP.

You

will coordinate community / area Emergency Medical Services, follow

up on cases and report required data to ED Director or AVP, and

maintain departmental statistics and review records for quality

performance issues.

You will assist and work

collaboratively with the ED leadership team across the entire

hospital Emergency Services line.

You will

coordinate with Human Resources to ensure appropriate recruitment

of staff, coordinate with staffing office to ensure appropriate

staff availability, serve as a resource to staff and physicians,

and compute staffing payroll (assisted by operations assistant).

You will review and coordinate ED nursing

education / protocols, coordinate community Emergency Medical

Services and Emergency Department (including performance

improvement issues related to pre-hospital care).

You will participate in ED management

processes as indicated / delegated by Director.

You will participate with disaster planning / program for department,

hospital, community and regional advisory council.

What

qualifications you will need :

Education / Licensure / Certifications :

Current

Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS

issued by the American Heart Association required.

CEN, TNCC, ENPC / Pals preferred.

Experience : Five

(5) years nursing experience with at least two (2) years in

Emergency Department; Supervisory / leadership experience within past

year.

  • Pre-hospital EMS experience preferred;

previous trauma coordinator preferred.

Leadership / Management experience

preferred.
