What you will be doing as a MedSpeed Box Truck Medical Driver :
Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, sterile processing instrumentation, healthcare linens and related materialDrive a non-CDL Commercial Motor Vehicle (i.e., straight truck) throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditionsOperate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycleStrictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedulesDemonstrate safe and courteous driving behaviorPresent a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interactionConduct pre / post trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicleDemonstrate teamwork, cooperation and adaptability with teammates and clientsBuild and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team cultureWhat you need to become a MedSpeeder :
High school diploma or equivalentRelevant industry / driving experience is a plusStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsA valid driver's license and clean driving historyHas or can obtain current and appropriate class driver's licenseHas or can successfully completed a company administered road testHave or will furnish documents required for a Driver Qualification (DQ) fileMust have excellent driving historyDemonstrated dependability and reliabilityFamiliarity working with and adapting to technologyDemonstrated ability to follow procedures closelyMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to lift items off storage racksAbility to determine efficient routing between multiple pointsMust be comfortable with walking and standing for long periods of timeDOT non-CDL Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Driver Requirements :
Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screenMust have or be able to obtain a DOT Medical CertificationMust be 21 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 yearsMust read and speak the English language sufficiently to converseCan, by reason of experience, training, or both, safely operate the type of non-CDL CMV in question.Must be physically qualified by a doctor to operate a non-CDL CMVAs part of our hiring process, final candidates will be subject to a background check, in compliance with applicable laws.
