Pay Range : $63,960.00 - $100,880.00 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience)

Position Highlights

  • Located in the vibrant community of Mitchell, SD
  • Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM; 72 hours every 2 weeks

A Brief Overview

As an Outpatient Therapist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating, planning, and implementing programs and counseling services. Your responsibilities will include :

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate clinical treatment programs for clients with moderate to severe social adjustment issues.
  • Ensure confidentiality and provide a holistic approach to client treatment.
  • Conduct individual, family, or group therapy sessions based on established principles.
  • Assess client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document therapy sessions in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Act as a crisis counselor in urgent situations requiring immediate psychological intervention.
  • Refer clients to outside agencies when appropriate.
  • Engage with family members to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Coordinate billing and modify treatment programs based on insurance coverage.
  • Provide educational programs on psychological topics to community groups.

    • Essential Qualifications

    To thrive in this role, you should be able to work the specified hours and perform essential job functions effectively. This includes having the visual acuity to perform duties and the ability to communicate clearly with others.

    Required Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MH), Clinical Social Worker (CSW-PIP), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of practice upon hire.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of practice upon hire.
  • 4-6 years of related experience and / or training.
  • Experience facilitating group therapy and providing individual counseling.
  • Experience with clients facing dual diagnoses.
  • Clinical experience in couples and family therapy.
