Job description

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures support of internal and external customer requirements through effective movement and storage of product and related materials.
  • Support planning, inventory automation, warehouse management, and external / internal transportation requirements as directed.
  • Responsible for day-to-day inventory transactions and accuracy of inventory records including weekly, monthly, and annual reconciliation.
  • Administer inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
  • Track and evaluate Finished Goods (FG), Work-in-Process (WIP), oil stock, packaging material and fiber inventory levels.
  • Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to recommend improvements to inventory control procedures; propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
  • Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Monitor demand and analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistics needs.
  • Correct and report any inventory discrepancy or needed inventory adjustment.
  • Collaborate with QA and purchasing departments to ensure all received packaging materials meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Perform and update daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly processing and inventory validations and inventory logistics.
  • Validate inventory for financial and physical reconciliations.
  • Conduct and prepare company mandated audits and ad hoc inventory reports.
  • Conduct semi-annual training of plant employees in inventory and scanner procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years related experience in inventory and / or logistics, or education equivalent in a related field (supply chain management, business, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree highly desired.
  • Experience using and managing inventory tracking hardware (scanners).
  • Strong demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership, and business partnership skills.
  • Strong technical and computer skills with experience using databases (ERP) and supply chain type software / programs.
  • Valid in-state driver's license and ability to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
  • Nut processing familiarity a plus.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, per business needs.
