Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time registered or certified Dietitian / Nutritionist with the potential to grow into a full-time position to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in various healthcare settings, including acute care and long-term care. This role involves developing personalized nutrition care plans, conducting patient assessments, and providing health coaching to enhance the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide health coaching to patients, focusing on weight loss, nutrition education, and lifestyle modifications.
- Supervise dietary department staff to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dietary recommendations into overall patient care.
- Manage tube feeding protocols for patients requiring specialized nutritional support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using EMR systems.
- Stay updated on current research in dietetics, nutrition, and physiology to provide evidence-based recommendations.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential preferred.Experience in acute care settings, long-term care facilities, or hospitals is highly desirable.Familiarity with dietary department operations and management practices is a plus.Knowledge of geriatric nutrition and specific dietary needs for older adults.Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and patient management.Previous supervisory experience is an advantage but not required.
