Food Runner

Food runners and server assistants are a vital piece of any restaurant puzzle. While you are not always interacting with customers, you are constantly helping with customer service whether it be with a server, the kitchen staff, or customers from time to time. You are asked to run food from the kitchen to tables as well as helping along with anything either the other staff members or customers may need. We are looking for energetic employees who pride themselves on their helpfulness and bring a great attitude to work every shift.

Responsibilities:

• Completes standard processes using Peridot endorsed methods
• Supports other team members to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience
• Completes side work with professionalism and commitment to quality
• Brings a positive attitude every shift and treats everyone (clients and colleagues alike) with respect
• Maintains composure, remains calm and patient despite dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Is consistent with service approach and models organization's values
• Along with the rest of the team, helps with general bussing and conducts light cleaning
• Performs opening and closing duties with thoroughness and attention to detail
• Uses excellent customer service and displays friendliness throughout the course of every shift
• Ensure guest satisfaction and maximizing financial success of our restaurant by leveraging effective communication skills; builds long-term relationships
• Presents restaurant at its best with a strong commitment to cleanliness

Need to know:

Our restaurant layout may require you to negotiate two flights of stairs

Food Runners may carry up to 25 lbs on a tray each shift

Must be available for ALL University of Michigan football home games

No experience required, but is preferred - great entry level position!
