General Summary :

Under minimal supervision, the Community Navigation Supervisor oversees the Community Navigation team, provides technical, administrative, and program support, and ensures exemplary customer service for CalWORKs families experiencing homelessness, within the community college system, and / or from other at-risk populations. The Supervisor conducts performance appraisals, manages workflow, and coaches staff to maintain effective completion of assigned projects and ensures staff successfully perform their job functions. The Supervisor collaborates with other program departments and liaises with various community agencies. The Supervisor collects activity statistics, prepares reports, attends relevant meetings, and represents the Program Manager as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Within a team environment, the Community Navigation Supervisor is responsible for :

Leadership and Staff Supervision (30%)

• Directly supervise and lead in a team environment that fosters positive and collaborative interactions.
• Oversee the Community Navigator team's efforts in assisting families with accessing childcare services, navigating resources, and obtaining referrals.

Program Coordination and Oversight (30%)

Community Engagement and Outreach (15%)

Reporting and Compliance (15%)

Customer Service and Problem Resolution (10%)

Job Specifications

Associate's degree

This position requires travel. Staff may choose any mode of transportation (driving, walking, bicycling, carpooling, etc.) to arrive to and depart from the location where attendance is required. Should a staff member choose to drive, the staff member must become an approved driver with CCRC prior to driving on behalf of CCRC. Approved drivers driving on behalf of CCRC may choose to drive a CCRC vehicle or own vehicle and must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and receiving DMV clearance.

Full time, typically M-F, ability to at times work a non-traditional work schedule including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

Field based. Mixture of working in an office work environment, remote and working directly with the community.

Live Scan Clearance / DOJ Fingerprinting : For positions working directly with the public in a child / community care or child / community care adjacent setting (CA Health and Safety Code Section 1596.871 and / or Head Start Program Performance Standards 1302.90).

Credit & Bankruptcy Check : For positions with fiscal responsibility (roles with authority over financial transactions), a credit and bankruptcy check will be conducted to assess financial responsibility in alignment with agency standards and applicable laws, including the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq.) and California Labor Code restrictions on credit reports (Labor Code 1025.5.)
