Responsibilities
Looking for a forward-thinking, independent Special Projects Consultant who will work on Company's most strategic initiatives including Merger & Acquisition Integrations (50%), Business & Workforce Productivity (30%), and Strategic Cost Elimination (20%). This is a highly visible role working under the guidance of the Executive Committee, Senior Leadership and department heads. Special Project Consultants on the team are high-performers and are identified as future leaders within Company's portfolio of businesses.
Essential Responsibilities / Job Duties
Objectives of this Role
- Oversee strategic business initiatives ranging from mergers & acquisition integrations, strategic cost elimination, and business and workforce productivity, under the guidance of senior leadership and departmental heads
- Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans
- Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Serve as liaison between staff, executives, and senior leaders regarding project updates, proposals and planningDevelop and maintain partnerships with outside operators, including business owners and third-party vendorsMonitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputsReport project outcomes and / or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed, escalating issues as necessary based on project work plansMaintain weekly project status reports including progress on important milestones, next steps and risks / issuesResearch and analyze complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of an organizationEvaluate data and metrics to propose new strategies to improve project delivery and develop reports that portray and give external stakeholders visibility into the project landscapeWork at multiple organizational levels, ranging from executives to the frontline operators, working across functional areas, and understanding the needs and requirements across the organizationMake recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency and practices that align with Company's goals and compliance standardsEnsure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties which may impede progress or compromise achievement scheduled milestonesWork closely with assigned teams on process improvement and proactively engage with stakeholders to identify and monitor progress and issue resolutionQualifications
Education, Experience and Certification
Bachelors Degree required; Masters degree is a plusThree to five years of consulting experience is a plusSix Sigma, Project Management Professional, and / or Change Management certification preferredAdvanced user of Microsoft office suite productsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
