Location : St Joseph Medical Center- Kansas City, MO

We're seeking a highly motivatedEmergency Medical Technician (EMT)to join ourEmergency Department (ED)team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is pivotal in delivering immediate medical care alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced hospital environment. TheEMTwill provide patient care, support medical staff, and contribute to an efficiently operatingED. No ambulance work is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to) :

Assist with patient triage and assessment in the ED.

Administer basic life support (BLS) and emergency care procedures as required.

Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any significant changes in patient condition to nursing staff and physicians.

Prepare and maintain patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.

Support the team in maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized work environment.

Participate in patient transport within the hospital under the supervision of medical staff.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to execute care plans effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014. 2. Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required. 3. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
