Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Hilo, Hawaii (96720) – Hawaii nursing jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : January 5, 2026 – End : April 6, 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Stepdown / Med-Surg Adult Units

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36 hours / week after orientation

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,680–$1,800 per week

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Openings : 3 Cardiac Stepdown RN positions

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or med-surg adult units

Active RN license (Hawaii RN license required by start date; assistance available for out-of-state nurses)

BLS certification required

ACLS certification preferred

Additional certifications preferred : PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Proficiency with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes

Ability to float between Medical, Laulima (Surgical Acute), and Cardiovascular Units

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and med-surg adult patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR

Administer medications and manage cardiac and post-surgical patients

Operate advanced clinical equipment including wound vacs and chest tubes

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Float between assigned units to support patient care needs

Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to unit protocols

Participate in unit-specific training and orientation programs
