We are looking to add to our team at FORBIDDEN ROOT!, Chicago's first botanical brewery located on Chicago Ave in West Town.
Our team works hand in hand and side by side with our Chefs. This is a teaching kitchen, as in the idea we strive to build our cooks to become stronger industry leaders. Understanding basic cooking techniques is a must! Weekends and Nights are a must!

Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Chef
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary positionKnowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresUnderstanding of food safety practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
