The Chemical Lab Technician is primarily responsible for conducting basic quality control (QC) testing on a variety of chemical products within our product line. These tests are performed to ensure that all products meet established specifications for quality, safety, and performance. The results of these tests are reported to the Research Director, and in some cases, to our customers through a Certificate of Analysis (COA). In addition to QC responsibilities, the Chemical Lab Technician will support Research and Development (R&D) activities and assist in the preparation and shipment of product samples to customers. This role plays a vital part in maintaining our quality standards and supporting product innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform routine and non-routine testing of chemical products according to laboratory procedures and specifications established by the Research Director.
Document test results with accuracy and prepare Certificates of Analysis using Microsoft Word or Excel, distributing them via Microsoft Outlook.
Ensure that the laboratory remains clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
Promote a strong safety culture in the laboratory and across the facility by consistently adhering to safety protocols.
Support R&D initiatives by conducting tests, collecting data, and performing tasks assigned by the Research Director.
Package and ship chemical product samples to customers, ensuring that shipping methods comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Maintain quality control records in accordance with the organization's quality management system (QMS).
Carry out additional duties as directed by supervisors or the Research Director.

Education and Experience Requirements :
High School Diploma or Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
Minimum of two years' experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the chemical industry.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
DOT and IATA certifications for shipping hazardous materials are preferred but not required.
