Role Summary :
This role focuses on the development and validation of low-level components used in power electronic converters, such as power modules, capacitors, sensors, and heatsinks. The engineer will gain hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation and contribute to component testing, analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform high-current, high-voltage, and high-temperature testing of components (e.g., sensors, capacitors, PCBs, power modules).
- Plan and execute tests, including fixture setup, instrumentation, data collection, and failure analysis.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, and quality disciplines.
- Support supplier development and limited travel for supplier engagement.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years.No 2-year degrees accepted.Experience in power electronics and component testing.Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, and PPAP processes.Top Skills :
Power Electronics coursework and hands-on testing experience.Double pulse testing and power module characterization.Use of lab equipment : oscilloscopes, HV probes, current transducers, thermal chambers, high-voltage / current supplies.Additional Skills : Required :
Experience in electric drive applications and high-reliability environments.Test planning, execution, and technical reporting.Preferred :
Cross-disciplinary collaboration experience.Python, MATLAB, and Excel for data analysis.Soft Skills : Required :
