Job description

Overview

The Office of the Public Defender 7th Judicial Circuit, in Florida, is seeking an attorney for a position located in the 7th Judicial Circuit (Volusia, Flagler, Putnam, and St. Johns County). This role is for an Assistant Public Defender - 21004423.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of an assistant public defender is to provide effective and professional representation to people charged with criminal offenses.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar or have either passed or recently sat for the Florida Bar Exam and have cleared Character and Fitness.
  • Juris Doctorate required.

    Salary : $70,000.00; Posting Closing Date : 10 / 29 / 2025

    Minimum 70,000 per year with additional consideration with experience.
