About The Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Accountant to join our growing revenue accounting team. Our team builds scalable processes to support Notion's revenue operations through accurate and complete revenue accounting, reporting and compliance. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will be a critical member of the team, helping to build, operate and evolve our processes and systems to scale with our fast growing business.

What You'll Achieve :

As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing the revenue month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and driving process improvements.

• Support month-end close activities related to usage-based and consumptive revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASC 606
• Prepare and validate monthly revenue recognition calculations, including variable consideration estimates, breakage analysis, and usage-driven revenue true-ups
• Partner cross-functionally with Data Engineering, FP&A, and BizTech to ensure usage data completeness and alignment between billing systems and the GL
• Assist in documenting accounting conclusions and performing ad-hoc analyses related to new pricing models, credit expirations, or contract modifications
• Support audit requests and help strengthen internal controls and documentation

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $119,000- $140,000 per year.
