Role Overview
This position is essential for bringing the digital documents of a large organization into full compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as applied through WCAG2ICT. The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on knowledge of digital document remediation, enabling high volumes of files to pass accessibility validation and assistive technology testing.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewing, assessing, and remediating existing digital documents offered in .docx and .pdf format (specifically fillable court forms).Ensuring documents achieve full ADA, WCAG 2.1 AA, and Section 508 compliance .Tracking the status of assigned forms and managing sensitive information.Providing problem-solving solutions to address compliance gaps.Collaborating with diverse administrative teams.Training staff on creating compliant documents.Required Expertise (7-12 Years Overall)
Document Accessibility Testing and Remediation experience (7+ years).Microsoft Word WCAG 2.1 AA Remediation (3+ years) : Expertise in styles, headings, alt text, and reading order.PDF WCAG 2.1 AA Remediation (3+ years) : Expertise in document tagging, logical structure, forms, and links .Experience with various accessibility testing tools and compliance management software.Ability to research laws, analyze policies, and interpret complex regulations.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills & Certifications
Experience with court forms or legal orders.Knowledge of User Experience (UX) compliance principles.Preferred Certifications : Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies ( CPACC ) or IAAP Accessible Document Specialist ( ADS ).If you possess the senior-level expertise in WCAG 2.1 AA remediation for Word and PDF documents, we encourage you to apply.
