Roadway Engineer

We are looking for a Roadway Design Engineer in Knoxville, TN with the opportunity to work on signature projects and collaborate with other design staff.  HMB is part of a transportation family ranked #14 in the country with unlimited growth potential.  We have national capabilities but maintain a local feel.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Project Managers to ensure designs meet schedule and budget expectations

• Gain valuable experience with the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role through mentorship and increasing responsibility
• Prepare timely and accurate design drawings, details, presentations, and construction documents in accordance with applicable standards
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and submittal packages for review by regulatory agencies
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, right of way staff, utility providers, project stakeholders, and contractors under the direction of senior staff
• Support the development and tracking of project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure project objectives are met
