Position Type : Full-Time Locum Physician Interventional Radiology

Overview

Outstanding Locum opportunity for a Board-Certified / Eligible Interventional Radiologist to provide services under a VA Veteran Government Care program in New York. The position involves high-acuity cases in a hospital-based setting with comprehensive procedural exposure and 24 / 7 departmental coverage.

Practice Highlights

Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. 4 : 30 p.m.

Call Coverage : 24 / 7 rotational call coverage

Setting : On-site, hospital-based Interventional Radiology

Scope of Care Includes :

• Angiography
• Balloon angioplasty & stent placement
• Chemoembolization
• Cryoablation
• Line insertions
• IVC filters
• Cholecystostomy
• Kyphoplasty
• Nephrostomy placement
• Embolization
• Gastrostomy
• Dialysis access procedures
• Thrombolysis
• Biopsy
• TIPS placement
• Radiofrequency & Microwave Ablation
• Y-90 Radioembolization for liver and metastatic disease

Physicians will also participate in :

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology Required

Active, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state) Required

Must maintain up-to-date CME and ABR certification requirements

Clean malpractice and background preferred

Prior VA or government experience a plus

Schedule & Coverage

Full-time schedule, Monday Friday with on-call rotation

Mix of procedural and administrative responsibilities (approx. 18% admin time )

Department provides 24 / 7 emergency IR coverage
